Volunteering

If you read this message you have stumbled onto a wonderful opportunity!

We need help all year round on our 10 acre croft in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. We live in a remote community called Scoraig ( http://www.scoraig.com ) and can only be reached via the thrice weekly post boat or a 4 mile cliff path. We usually travel to Inverness about every two weeks for supplies and you would be able to accompany us.

We have a range of on-going projects including growing as much of our own organic food as possible, renovating a wooden house, erecting a new poly-tunnel, clearing gorse, helping with our small tree nursery, and many other jobs typical of a croft.

Of particular importance to me is someone who can help with my blog and social media presence.

I forage for wild food most days and will be pleased to pass on this knowledge. See YouTube ‘Eat your art out’ for some inspiration.

We can offer comfortable accommodation and organic food in a variety of dwellings, including a tipi, in exchange for 4 hours work per day. Loads of other benefits including internet, wonderful scenery, interesting people on Scoraig, scenic walks, peace and quiet to name a few.  Minimum stay one month.
